landscape of Svalbard.

Longyearbyen, or Longyear City, is located at Isfjorden, or Ice Fjord,
where it serves as a coal-mining hub and the chief port and
administrative center for the isolated island group. The only airport
offering shceduled flights to mainland Norway is located nearby.
Longyearbyen's airport is small, overcrowded, and a bit chaotic. The
good news: It's only 10 minutes from town, and an inexpensive airport
bus will be waiting outside after you've fought your way through the
crowd to your suitcase in the baggage room and exited past the stuffed
polar bear.
