located in Abuja, FCT, Nigeria, and is the main airport serving the
Nigerian capital city. It was named after Nigeria's first President,
Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe. It consists of an international and a domestic
terminal. Both terminals share the same runway. On December 15, 2009,
construction for a second runway was approved to start.

Abuja is the capital of Nigeria. Since most Nigerian government
agencies are now headquartered in Abuja, and most other countries'
embassies have been relocated from Lagos to Abuja, it is a
surprisingly expensive city.
The very character of Abuja has been shaped by the two renowned rock
formations around it. These are the Zuma Rock and the Aso Rock. The
former is referred to as the ‘Gateway to Abuja' and the Federal
Capital Territory begins at its base, where the state of Niger ends.
On Monday April 19 2004, Abuja Clinics was commissioned by Chief
Olusegun Obasanjo, Former President, Federal Republic of Nigeria .
